Visharada Sadhana Ranatunga, grand daughter of the celebrated yesteryear songstress Kalashuri Vasantha Sandanayake, started her musical career at Radio Ceylon’s Lama Mandapaya. Today she is the visiting Music teacher at the Royal College Primary, Colombo. She conducts music classes at the Amara-Daya Arts Foundation conducted by musicians Prof. Amara Ranatunga and Dr. Dayaratne Ranatunga.
